The Hatter Cardiovascular Institute is pleased to announce both Professor Derek Yellon and Professor Sean Davidson have again been acknowledged by the annual Clarivte™ Highly Cited Researcher award. This marks the 5th consecutive year of this award for Prof Yellon and the 3rd for Prof Davidson.
Each researcher selected has authored multiple Highly Cited Papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for their field(s) and publication year in the Web of Science™ over the past decade. This indicates exceptional influence in their respective disciplines. Of note, 6,636 individual researchers were assessed, and to have two from The Hatter Cardiovascular Institute indicates the relevance and excellence of the research undertaken. Importantly, more than 1,200 institutions in 59 nations worldwide were evaluated, with University College London in 8th place. The top 10 include Harvard, NIH, Stanford, and MIT.
Named in the Cross-field category, this designation means the work of Professor Yellon and Professor Davidson spans not just Cardiovascular Science but has impactful meaning to other disciplines such as nephrology, metabolic medicine and oncology as represented by the diverse scope of collaborative research programmes at The Hatter Cardiovascular Institute. This designation continues to place Prof Yellon and Prof Davidson amongst the leading scientists worldwide.
